Coryo

Terms of Use

These terms govern the Coryo app, website, accounts, catalog requests, and organizer event submissions.

Effective August 28, 2026

1Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Coryo ("Coryo", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Coryo application, website, account services, or submission tools (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. Do not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

2Accounts and guest use

The public catalog can be browsed without an account. An account adds supported backup, cross-device records, and connection features. You are responsible for using an email or provider account you control and for protecting access to your device and sign-in method.

Do not impersonate another person, create an account for someone without permission, or use another person's account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3Catalog information and independent providers

Coryo organizes class, teacher, studio, and event information from public and submitted sources. Schedules, teachers, venues, prices, availability, policies, and ticket links can change after we receive them. Check the studio, organizer, or ticket provider before traveling, paying, or relying on a listing.

Studios, teachers, organizers, booking sites, map providers, and ticket providers are independent from Coryo. We do not teach the class, host the event, sell the ticket, process the studio payment, control admission, or set the provider's refund, cancellation, waiver, or safety rules. Your dealings with an independent provider are governed by that provider's terms and policies.

A link, listing, follow, recommendation, or appearance in a plan is not an endorsement or a guarantee. Report an incorrect, unsafe, or outdated listing through Support.

4Personal records, attendance, and Growth Plans

Class records, reminders, calendar checks, automatic attendance, recommendations, and Growth Plans are organization tools. They are not official attendance records, professional coaching, medical advice, diagnosis, or a measurement of dance quality. Automatic attendance can be wrong because device signals and public studio coordinates are imperfect; you remain in control of the final class record.

Dance involves physical activity. Choose classes and plan activities appropriate for you, follow the instructor's and venue's safety directions, stop when an activity is unsafe, and seek qualified advice when you need it. You are responsible for deciding whether to participate.

5Requests, event submissions, and media

You may submit missing catalog leads, organizer event details, public source links, feedback, and an optional event cover. You keep ownership of content you create. You represent that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and, for an event cover, to let us publish it.

You grant Coryo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to receive, store, reproduce, format, crop, review, and display the submitted material only as needed to operate, secure, review, and publish the Service. This license lasts while the material is used for those purposes. You can request removal of creative material; we may retain public facts, moderation decisions, and source evidence as explained in the Privacy Policy.

A submission is private while pending and does not guarantee publication. We may reject, correct, postpone, unpublish, or remove material that cannot be verified, is no longer current, violates these Terms, creates a safety concern, or does not fit the catalog.

6Acceptable use and community safety

Do not use the Service to:

  • break the law, facilitate exploitation, threaten, stalk, harass, or endanger anyone;
  • submit hateful, sexually explicit, violent, deceptive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material;
  • publish another person's private information, impersonate a teacher or organizer, or infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • send malware, spam, fraudulent events, fake ticket links, or misleading listings;
  • bypass security or rate limits, probe another account, interfere with the Service, or automate a dancer's authenticated studio, booking, or payment flow; or
  • copy, harvest, resell, or republish the catalog at scale without our written permission or another legal right to do so.

The Service includes reporting and blocking paths where those features apply. We may review reports, restrict distribution, remove content, preserve evidence, or suspend an account to protect people and the Service. Report offensive content, abusive behavior, impersonation, or an urgent catalog safety concern through Support. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

7Intellectual property

The Service's software, original design, branding, and original text belong to Coryo or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you. Public facts are not claimed as our creative property, and third-party names, images, marks, and source material remain the property of their respective owners.

If you believe material in the Service infringes your rights, send the listing URL, a description of the work or right involved, your contact information, and enough detail for us to evaluate the request to [email protected].

8Availability, changes, and termination

We may change, repair, limit, or discontinue parts of the Service, and catalog coverage can differ by location. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every public class or event will be listed. We will not invent content to fill a gap.

You may stop using the Service at any time. If you created an account, you can delete it in the app; the Data & deletion page explains what is removed and what stays local. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, repeated abuse, or a material breach of these Terms.

9Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that catalog information, external links, automatic attendance, recommendations, or third-party services will be complete, current, accurate, safe, or available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coryo and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost opportunities, or the acts or omissions of independent studios, teachers, organizers, venues, booking sites, or ticket providers. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

10Apple terms

Your license to the iOS application is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms govern Coryo's Service and community rules. The Apple agreement governs the license supplied through the App Store where it applies.

11Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice before a material change takes effect when required. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
