Elyse Shafarman

Elyse Shafarman, MA Physiological Psychology (2003), AmSAT Certified Alexander Technique Teacher (2003). Elyse has been teaching Alexander Technique to performing artists since 2004 as faculty at American Conservatory Theater’s MFA program, and Berkeley Rep School of Theatre. Currently, she is faculty at San Francisco State University Holistic Health Studies Institute and Studio ACT, and has a private practice in San Francisco and Berkeley. She has used Alexander Technique to refine her own dancing since 1987 as a BFA student at SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory. Her life mission is to help people discover the healing power of mind-body connections in movement.
