Mark Foehringer

Mark Foehringer was born in Minnesota and raised in Brazil, South America. He benefited from the training systems of the Russian, Cuban, Italian and French schools taught by teachers who immigrated to Brazil. He is a founding member of the Cisne Negro Dance Company in Sao Paulo and danced throughout South America and Europe performing classical and contemporary works. He is a ballet teacher, choreographer, director, mentor and producer. Foehringer maintains artistic relationships with several international dance programs in Brazil, Peru and the UK. Foehringer is the founder and artistic director of Mark Foehringer Dance Project|SF (MFDP|SF), a San Francisco based contemporary dance organization which produces works for its professional dance ensemble, mentors emerging choreographers and presents an annual dance festival.
