James Jared

James began his dance journey in his childhood, taking classes at a local studio and discovering a love for performance and choreography. Since then, he has trained in modern, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet, earning a Certificate in Modern Dance from Princeton University where he performed works originally choreographed by Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, and John Jasperse, among others. James also danced and choreographed for diSiac Dance Company, where he served as the Technical Chair for 2 years. James’ current focus is now heels, through which he explores the intersection of masculinity and femininity by utilizing contemporary technique modified for the stiletto.
