Gus

Internationally Renowned Choreographer & Master Instructor With over 20 years of teaching experience in Los Angeles and across the globe, Gus is a pioneer in the hip-hop dance community. Beginning in Boston as the city's first-ever hip-hop instructor in 1991, he quickly made a name for themselves, leading to opportunities at The Edge in Hollywood upon arriving in California in 1993. From there, he became a sought-after instructor at Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds Studio, and LA Dancefit, shaping the next generation of dancers in L.A.'s most prestigious studios. As his reputation grew, dancers from around the world began traveling to train under him. This global demand led to invitations abroad, beginning in Italy and Japan, and soon expanding to major dance hubs worldwide. Gus has taught in every country in Europe and Scandinavia, as well as Russia, Turkey, Israel, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Canada, and the United States. Beyond teaching, Gus has performed on some of the biggest stages, including the Grammy Awards with Shakira, and collaborated with industry legends such as Jamie King (Janet Jackson), Tabitha & Napoleon (Jennifer Lopez), Shaun Evaristo (Justin Bieber), and Alex Magno (Madonna). While performance has been a part of his journey, teaching remains his true passion. Traveling the world, sharing the love of dance, and inspiring dancers of all levels is what fuels Gus's every day. Join a class and experience the energy, knowledge, and passion that has made him one of the most respected dance educators in the industry. HIP HOP Tue & Thurs 11am Sun 9am
