Alise Halbert & Rafael Dominguez

Alise Halbert has been teaching, competing, choreographing and performing Ballroom Dance in the Bay Area since 1996. Alise has completed her Membership degree in Standard and Associate Degree in Latin with the ISTD at the Pick School of Dance in SF. She has taught throughout the Bay Area, and also in Canada, Germany, the Czech Republic and Japan. Her dance coaches have included US and World Champions such as Heather Smith, Victor Veyresset, Stephen Cullip, Aira Bubelyte, Tomas Atkocevicius and Charlotte Jorgensen. She loves performance and bringing people together for the joy and skill of dance. Rafael Dominguez has been teaching ballroom and Latin dance in the Bay Area for 20+ years. He has performed and competed in all ballroom, Latin and American Smooth styles in competitions in the Bay Area and in the Gay Games in Cologne, Cleveland, Paris and Guadalajara as both a leader and a follower. He performs regularly with the famous ballroom formation team, the Vima Vice Squad. He is known for his supportive teaching style, welcoming class atmosphere and innovative choreography.
