About this class
This course is designed for adults who are new to ballet or returning after a long break. Classes introduce the fundamentals of classical ballet in a supportive, professional, and encouraging environment—no prior experience required. Students will learn and/or polish proper alignment, basic ballet terminology, and foundational movements through structured barre, center work, and variations. Emphasis is placed on posture, coordination, musicality, flexibility, and strength, while moving at a thoughtful, accessible pace This class is ideal for adults seeking: * A graceful, full-body workout * Improved balance, mobility, and core strength * Artistic expression and musical awareness * A calm, focused alternative to high-impact fitness Schedule: * 10:30-12 Private Ten Person Ballet Class (Ms. Kelsey) * 12-12:30 Lunch * 1-1:45 Learn a basic classical ballet variation (Mr. Jonas) * 1:45-2 Break * 2-2:45 Adagio variation (Mr. Jonas) * 3-3:50 Mat Pilates (Ms. Olivia) * 4-4:30 'Perform' in lights for classmates Please note: The 10:30 AM ballet class included in this course is a private ten person class exclusively for course participants and is separate from our regular Sunday Funday Beginner Ballet class. You do not need to register for the 10:30 AM class separately.
