About this class

This is an all levels class! Start your week with the energy and joy of Brazil! Led by Nadiah Q, who began her Samba journey in Brazil in 2008 and has been teaching Rio-style Samba no Pé since 2016, this class celebrates Samba at its core while also exploring other Brazilian dance forms like Funk, Samba Afro, and Pagode. Each session includes a focus and a mix of follow-along movement, breakdown and build segments, cultural connection, and partner, group, or freestyle components—all set to vibrant music that will leave you feeling alive, connected, and energized! Beginners and All Levels are welcome! What is Samba no Pé? Samba no Pé is the solo style of Brazilian Samba, born from Afro-Brazilian roots and rhythms. It grew out of the dances and music carried by enslaved Africans and evolved in Rio’s communities as an expression of strength, joy, and resistance. With its grounded energy, quick footwork, and flowing movement, Samba no Pé celebrates freedom, resilience, and the spirit of the people who kept this art alive.
