About this class

Welcome to Tip Top Ballroom’s Kids First Steps Class, specially created for young dancers ages 6–8 who are just beginning their ballroom journey! This fun and engaging beginner class introduces children to the very basics of ballroom dancing in a warm, positive, and encouraging environment. Students will learn simple steps, basic rhythm, posture, and coordination through playful exercises and easy-to-follow choreography. Dancers will be introduced to beginner movements in styles like Waltz and Cha Cha, all adapted to their age and level. Our focus is on building confidence, musicality, listening skills, and teamwork — while making sure every child feels successful and excited to learn. Classes are structured yet playful, helping young dancers develop discipline and focus in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. No experience is needed — just comfortable shoes, a big smile, and readiness to have fun! Every champion starts with a first step — and this is the perfect place to begin!
