Contemporary Technique - Int/Adv (IN PERSON)

About this class

This contemporary technique class is for dancers familiar with contemporary dance forms that want to continue building their musicality, floorwork, and improvisation skills. Katie's approach guides dancers through improvisation, technical combinations, and phrase work using imagery, sensations and textures to create rich movement. The first half of class is a guided warm-up that includes strength-building and cardio alongside improvisation. The second half of class is learning phrase work that is both physical and personal, challenging dancers to embody new movement and find their own personality within it. This class is geared towards intermediate, advanced, and professional dancers.
