About this class

Beginner: Our Level 1 series will teach you all the basics needed to get on the social dance floor with confidence. This series is focused on social dancing and the lead-follow components that accompany it. No past experience is needed for this course. Followed by Open Practice (included) • No partner or previous experience is necessary. • Flat or low-heeled, smooth-soled shoes are recommended. 👉 Start date TBA: Our Level 2 series will explore variations in patterns, partner dynamics, and individual movement. You can expect to find your individuality in partner dancing in this series. This level includes everything from Level 1, allowing you to refine and expand your skills for more complex social dancing. 👉 Start date TBA: Our Level 3 series will focus on conversational West Coast Swing. You will learn what makes a good leader and follower and how taking responsibility for your respective roles allows you to build a musical relationship with partners of all levels. This series covers everything from Level 1 and Level 2, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of West Coast Swing. By progressing through these levels, you will build a strong foundation, expand your knowledge, and develop the skills needed for confident and creative West Coast Swing dancing.
