About this class
This new offering is intended to further develop the beginner dancer's confidence building on the Absolute Beginner Ballet workshop series and for beginner dancers who wish to improve their understanding of the fundamentals of ballet technique whilst further developing coordination, grace, spatial awareness, and musicality. Students will be led through a syllabus-style warm-up, gaining confidence in the progression of technique. Following the warm-up an in-depth coaching session will continue to explore rotating themes such as petit allegro (Small jumps), Adage (Slow graceful movements) Port de Bras (Arm work and coordination) Enchainement (Small dance sequences.), and Pirouette/Soutenu/Chainee (turning steps.) Allowing the beginner dancer to understand and absorb the work at a pace that allows for greater appreciation of the finer details in an enjoyable and nurturing environment. Class focuses will run in 4-week sessions with drop-ins available. Upcoming Class Themes: 10/11, 10/18, 11/08 & 11/15 : Waltz Steps and small jumps 11/29, 12/06, 12/13 & 12/20: Turning Enchainement.
