Beginner/Intermediate Open Adult Ballet

About this class

This Class is for the Beginning/Intermediate dancer. Barre and center work will focus on fundamentals but with more complexity. An emphasis will be placed on Positions, Alignment and the proper use of Turn-Out at the Barre and Center. Proper French Terminology along with Ballet Etiquette will be stressed. Class instructor has autonomy to teach combinations at their discretion given level befitting the capabilities of students within any particular class. It is at the instructor's discretion to allow any dancer to participate in class if arriving 10 minutes past the class start time. Due to the nature of ballet training and the creative spirit involved, instructors may occasionally choose to extend class time or continue offering additional teaching and coaching when time and studio scheduling allow (and when there is no class immediately following). Dancers who are unable to remain past the scheduled class time are encouraged to respectfully inform the instructor and exit the class quietly and gracefully. *While class descriptions provide a general guideline, the instructor reserves the right to adapt material, exercises, and pacing as needed to ensure a safe, effective, and appropriate learning environment.
