West Coast Swing Beginner

About this class

West Coast Swing 1.0 is an introductory class for dancers new to West Coast Swing or partner dancing in general. This smooth, versatile dance style is danced to contemporary music including pop, R&B, blues, and hip-hop. Students learn basic patterns, timing, elasticity, lead-and-follow concepts, and musical interpretation in a relaxed and friendly environment. No partner is needed, and rotation allows everyone to learn both roles and improve adaptability. This class builds a strong foundation for social dancing and prepares students for West Coast Swing events, socials, and festivals. Attire & Shoes: Comfortable clothing. Flat dance shoes or comfortable sneakers recommended. RSVP & Check-In Policy: Early-bird RSVP is required by 9:00 PM the night before to secure the discounted drop-in rate ($25). Same-day attendance is welcome if the class is running and may be billed at the same-day drop-in rate ($30) or deducted from an active membership. Please check in with the front desk upon arrival.
