About this class
Step into the spotlight with Pole-esque , a playful, empowering fusion of classic pole dance and the sultry art of traditional burlesque. This all-levels class invites you to explore sensual, expressive movement, musicality, and theatrical showmanship in a deeply supportive and celebratory environment. Whether you are brand new to the studio or an experienced mover, you will build strength, flexibility, and fluidity over time—all while learning how to command the room with ultimate confidence, charisma, and sass. Expect to sweat, slink, and shine as you learn how to turn standard transitions into a captivating performance. Please note: To ensure community and optimal rest time, classes at The Vertitude use a shared-apparatus format with up to two students assigned per pole, working in alternating groups. What to Wear & Bring Water: Always! Pole Heels: Yes! But not required. Bare feet or socks are welcome. Clothing: Anything you feel great dancing in. Pole shorts are recommended, but you do you! Knee Pads: Recommended to protect your knees. Grip Aid: If you need it, bring it! No Lotions: Please do not apply body lotion or oils on the day of class, as it makes the poles dangerously slippery. Yoga Mat: Recommended for your comfort during the warm up.
